The Home Energy Hub System's predictive maintenance feature ensure the seamless operation of your customers' equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.

Through predictive maintenance and remote diagnostics and monitoring, the Home Energy Hub System significantly reduces the facility management service providers and contractors’ support and overhead costs, in addition to a reduction in the energy consumption of managed equipment and improved comfort.

HVAC Fault Detection and Remote Diagnostics

The Home Energy Hub System monitors the HVAC equipment performance and reports in real-time filtered faults and events. 

Authorized technicians are able to remotely diagnose issues resulting in maintenance and support cost savings, extending the equipment lifecycle, in addition to energy savings.

Integrated Smart Thermostat

The Home Energy Hub System embeds a Smart Thermostat which can replace the current home thermostat without any additional costs.

The embedded Smart Thermostat supports multiple temperature and humidity inputs for improved comfort, in addition to scheduling and dynamic occupancy detection for managing setbacks.

Additionally, the Home Energy Hub System works with any third-party thermostat, old and the latest.

Thermostat to HVAC equipment control wiring is continuously monitored and can be overridden for remote diagnostics.

Submetering

The Home Energy Hub System connects to any pulse gas, water, and electricity meter. Multiple submeters can be connected within the premise. 

Submeter raw data and stats is available via the Caleb cloud, in addition to usage reports.

Leak Detection and Prevention

The Home Energy Hub System offers 24/7 protection against water leaks.

Distributed leak detection and prevention results in any number of vales being activated as a result of a detected leak.

NB-IoT and LTE-M

The Home Energy Hub System supports concurrent Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN), Terrestrial Network (TN) Narrowband-IoT and LTE-M, and Wi-Fi connectivity to the Caleb cloud. This improves the network uptime and increases the throughput by combining traffic from multiple network streams. The built-in traffic scheduler supports auto failover by monitoring the network stream performance statistics of each network path.

When connected to metered networks, the Home Energy Hub System minimizes the traffic exchanged with the Caleb cloud to reduce airtime costs.

Home Energy Hub System Deep Dive

The Home Energy Hub System is an Autonomous AI HVAC and leak detection management system for the residential market.

The Home Energy Hub System allows facility management service providers and contractors to monitor and diagnose their customers’ HVAC systems remotely, receive fault notifications, view performance data and analytics in real-time in tabular and graphical format to ensure minimal downtime.

Through predictive maintenance and remote diagnostics and monitoring, the Home Energy Hub System significantly reduces the facility management service providers and contractors’ support and overhead costs.

Hub

The Hub is the core of the Home Energy Hub System and is typically installed in the furnace room and securely connects to the Caleb cloud via Wi-Fi or Power over Ethernet (PoE). The Hub's sensors continuously monitor the indoor and outdoor HVAC equipment health, duct airflow velocity and static pressure, power consumption, and the thermostat's control wires connected to the furnace control board. 

Additionally, the Hub can control 0-10V and 4-20mA valve and duct dampers, detect and prevent leaks in the vicinity and remotely via the Companion, connect up to 4 gas, water or electricity submeters in addition to other RTU.

The Hub in combination with the Sensor includes a builtin AI Smart Thermostat which can replace the home's current thermostat at no additional cost. 

The Hub to Caleb cloud communications can happen over wired, wireless, cellular TN and NTN separately or concurrently resulting in much greater network uptime.

mini-Hub

The mini-Hub supports all of the Hub functionality in addition to video streaming, furnace control board error detection via video capture, and BACnet MS/TP.

Additionally, the mini-Hub can be configured, using its internal web manager, as a Multipath Router to bond and load balance traffic with auto failover, over multiple terrestrial (private and public cellular networks) and non-terrestrial networks (LEO, GEO and others), in addition to local wired (LAN) and wireless (Wi-Fi) connections, resulting in much improved network uptime and throughput.

Local client devices can connect to the Multipath Router using Wi-Fi and Ethernet. 

Companion

The Companion connects to the Caleb cloud via Wi-Fi. It supports two leak detection and prevention ports, a CO sensor, one damper control port, and output audio. 

The Companion can operate independently or in tandem with the Hub to provide a whole home leak detection and prevention and CO monitoring solution. 

Sensor

The Sensor replaces the installed home thermostat if the Hub's integrated AI Smart Thermostat is enabled. The same thermostat wiring is used to connect the Sensor to the Hub.

Caleb Cloud

Data Analytics and Realtime Notifications

The Caleb cloud data analytics and real-time notification engine continuously analyse the field data and generate notifications when faults are detected via text and email to authorized personnel. Detected faults and events are also logged and accessible via the Caleb cloud web app.

Alarms and Incident Management

The Caleb cloud includes a comprehensive alarm notification and incident management module for monitoring and acting upon Hub and Companion data and events. Generate audible alarms, send notifications via e-mail, SMS/text, voice call-out, and messaging platforms (Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, Pushover, SIP Instant Message). The included desktop and mobile apps keep call center and field techs respectively connected to current and historical alarms and events for collaboration, escalation, and problem resolution. Automate resolutions effortlessly with drag-and-drop collaboration workflows.

BI Reports

The Caleb cloud BI reports engine allows the operators to obtain performance statistics, environmental data, faults, and other data collected by the Hub, Companion and Sensor.

The BI reports engine supports secure connections to Power BI, Tableau, and other BI platforms through REST and other data connectors.

IoT Integration

The Home Energy Hub System enable seamless IoT integration and communication between devices using industry standard building automation protocols such as BACnet, MQTT, Modbus, REST and others. This enhances the monitoring and automation capabilities of the system.

The Hub and Companion support BACnet IP, MQTT, and REST for interfacing with other automation and energy control devices. 

The Caleb cloud acts as the MQTT broker. However, the Hub and Companion can interface with any MQTT broker.
